General Policies
As a school, our mission is to provide each of our families with an excellent early childhood educational experience. To that end we have developed policies to ensure that our business and educational practices remain at the highest standard. Your cooperation with the following policies will insure that we can continue to service our families in the best way possible.
Registration Fee
There is a one-time fee of $15 for new families registering for the first time.
Payment Schedule
Registrations are processed in the order received to assure fairness to all registrants. Full tuition payment is due at the time of registration. Registrations are accepted with full payment only and families may not attend classes until tuition is paid in full. Payment can be made by credit card, PayPal fund transfer or check. We do not accept payment by cash.
Refunds
Refunds are not given after the 1st class. All cancellations made prior to the first class will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee, if the registration has been made through www.musictogetherwithsonia.com
Registration
Registrations are accepted and processed on a first come, first serve basis during each enrollment period. When pre-registration is offered for an upcoming semester, currently registered families will have the opportunity to register prior to the public having access to open registration. A spot in class can only be held with complete payment.
For detailed information regarding the tuition, please refer to our tuition page.
Withdrawals
Families wishing to withdrawal from class must do so before the registration deadline for each semester (typically the first day of classes). An administrative processing fee of $25 is non-refundable. Families are responsible for class attendance. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal and all tuition fees are forfeited if the school office is not informed of your withdrawal before the registration deadline. If circumstances necessitate withdrawal from class, please call the school office.
Pro-rating
Music Together With Sonia does not pro-rate for missed classes. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of Music Together with Sonia due to unexpected prolonged illness or relocation out of the area. Families are afforded two make-up per semester in the event of any missed classes during the semester.
Class Cancellation Policy
Music Together With Sonia reserves the right to cancel a class with insufficient enrollment. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund, including registration fee (if applicable), will be issued if other class arrangements cannot be made.
Materials
Each family receives a materials packet containing one CD and a songbook of the current song collection for each semester they are registered.
Materials: CD, songbook are nonreturnable unless unopened and suitable for sale.
What about Siblings ?
Infants 9 months and under at the time of the first class may attend free of charge with a registered sibling. Infants’ names and birth dates must be indicated on the registration form. There are a limited number of infant sibling spaces in each class. Failure to include this information of the registration form may result in a class change.
Music Together® classes may be in session when older children have a school holiday, and it is natural to want to bring them with you to class. Siblings of registered students may attend up to 2 classes per semester, provided that the visit is prearranged with the teacher and the class has not reached its maximum capacity.
Photography/video
Occasionally classes at Music Together With Sonia will offer Photography or Videotaping. These photographs/videos are sometimes used for publicity purposes. Parents are giving the choice to grant permission for photographs to be published in print as well as Social Media by signing a Photo Video Release From in advance. Parents or children names will not be printed.
As our classes are participatory and educational experiences between adults and children, we ask our families to please refrain from taking photo or video during class time, however, we welcome pictures before or after class.
Make-ups
Two make-ups per semester are available at any location run by Music Together With Sonia. Make-ups are not transferable between semesters. Music Together With Sonia cannot guarantee availability at specific locations or times. In the event that Music Together With Sonia cancels a scheduled class that class will be made up at the end of the semester unless otherwise stated. To schedule a makeup you may call (908) 240-9038 or sign up on-line at: Make-Up Scheduler
Prior notification of missing a class is requested and appreciated.
